Virginia J. Burke Puzycki, age 96 of Milford passed away on November 28, 2017 at Milford Health and Rehab. She was the cherished wife for 69 years of the late Joseph J. Puzycki Sr. Loving mother of Joanne Puzycki (Louis) DaRienzo, Janice Puzycki (James Dietz), Joseph J. (Joan) Puzycki Jr., Laurie Puzycki (Thomas) Mansfield III and the late Ronald Puzycki and Sharon Puzycki Krystock. Grandmother of Richard (Maureen) Sederquest Jr., Debra (James) Sederquest Myjak, Kerry Puzycki (David Liscinsky) Gigliotti, Megan (Hector Riviera) Puzycki, Thomas (Olivia Coseo) Mansfield IV, Katelyn (Meghan Cabrera) Mansfield and Christina Puzycki. Great grandmother of Kyle, Brian, Stephen (Laura), Samantha, Casey, Callie, Rachael, Sophia and Dominic. Great-great grandmother of Tyler. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Virginia was predeceased by her sister Doris Burke Piscitelli and her brothers John, Richard, and Robert Burke. She was born in New Haven, April 7, 1921, daughter of the late John and Julia Anderson Burke. For many years Virginia was a member of the West Haven Welcome Wagon Club. A loving and caring woman, her family was her life. She always worried about them all. The family would like to thank Dr. Eric Fan for all his care and compassion over the past few years and also the Staff at Milford Health and Rehab.
Visitation will be Friday morning from 9-10:30am at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. Her funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 10:30 for a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Lawrence Church at 11am. Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery. Donations may be made in her name to St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital, Memorials Processing, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN. 38105-9959.
