Life Story for Albert G. Stacy
Albert Gerald Stacy Sr., age 83, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2017, at CT Hospice. He was born on October 18, 1934 in New Haven, son of the late Albert Joseph and Rose Morris Stacy. Albert served his country in both the Marine Corps and the Air Force. Albert went on to become a West Haven Fire Fighter, where he served a heroic 28 years career. He was a Past Exalted Ruler for the West Haven Lodge of Elks #1537, where he was the Leading Knight/Vice President until 2006, as well as a driver for DeGrands Trucking and made flower deliveries for Fitzgerald’s Florist, his second family.
Albert is survived by his beloved wife Lap Stacy, his children Albert Stacy Jr., WHFD Capt. Bill (Carla) Stacy and Marian (Gerry) Walters, his grandchildren Marisa (Jason) Criscio, Albert III, Dana, WSFD Bill Jr. and WHFD Fire Explorer Joey Stacy, 3 great grandchildren and his step sons, John and Troy Talamelli. Also survived by his brothers Ret. NHFD Capt. Jimmy (Andrea) Stacy and Ret. HFD Bobby Stacy and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother Larry Stacy.
The hours for visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4-8pm at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday morning at 11 o’clock Interment will follow, with military honors, in St Lawrence Cemetery.
