Ellen Andreotis, entered into rest on January 29, 2018, a daughter of the late John and Rosse Petrelis Andreotis. She graduated from Commercial High School, as salutatorian, class of 1944.
Throughout her 91 years, Ellen enjoyed a successful career in business and finance at Yale University Press, Whitney Blake, Polaris Financial and retired from New Alliance Bank in 2010. A dedicated and loving daughter, Ellen took great care of her parents as they aged. She had a kind and loving heart to all her family and was always there to embrace and support them in their lives, their ventures, their careers.
Throughout her life, Ellen was a very spiritual and caring person and a devout member of St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church in Orange. Living along the shore in Cornfield Point, Old Saybrook Ellen enjoyed her close friends, the summer warmth and sunshine, long walks and conversations with those she cared for.
She led a blessed life and will always be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Ellen is survived by her sister Mary Reed, nephews John and his children Peter and Jamie, Peter (Adeline) Arabolos and their family Scott and Kyle Preston, James and Damien Brindisi.
Visitation will take place on SUNDAY afternoon from 2 to 5 pm at the West Haven Funeral Home at the green. On Monday morning, all are invited to attend the service at St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church, Orange at 9:30. Interment will follow in Beaverdale Memorial Park.
