Bruno "Bruce" Branchini
Bruno Romulo “Bruce” Branchini, 94, of West Haven passed away on March 8, 2018, in West Haven surrounded by his family. Bruno was born on August 22, 1923, to the late Augustina and Fortunato Branchini. He served his country in the US Army Air Corp during World War II from 1943-1946. He was a member of the Connecticut Bowling Hall of Fame, the Coolie Chevrolet Fast Pitch Softball Team, and an avid golfer. He and wife, Josephine, celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary in January. He is survived by wife, Josephine Branchini; brother, Caesar (Anna) Branchini; children, Bruce (Ann) Branchini and Anne-Marie (Larry) Townsend; granddaughters, Lauren and Ariana Branchini; and great-grandsons, Raylan and Jackson Bonaldo. He was predeceased by brother Anthony Branchini.
Visitation will be held Monday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Paul’s Church. Interment with military honors will be in All Saints Cemetery.
