Barbara Sodlosky (DuBois)
Barbara D. Sodlosky, age 84, of West Haven, beloved wife to the late William R. Sodlosky, Jr., passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Yale New Haven Hospital. Born in Beacon Falls on May 10, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Clayton Sudlow and Helen (Boraski) DuBois, Sr. Before retirement, Barbara enjoyed a career as a nurse for the West Haven Medical Group for over thirty years. She had a love for painting and playing the piano. Barbara also had a passion for animals, including her cat Faith, and living by the beach. She will be remembered for her selflessness, her positive outlook on life, and how she was so very caring, kind, and compassionate. Most importantly, her family and friends meant everything to her. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend.
Barbara is survived by her children Linda S. (Scott) Clark, Lee-Ann (Frank) Sequenzia, grandchildren, Dawn M. Ellsworth, Cheryl L. (Seth) Clark, Ashton R. (Karthik) Rohmer, great-granddaughter Gabriella R. Clark, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son William R. Sodlosky III, sister Emily Healey, and brother Clayton (Martha) DuBois, Jr.
Visitation hours will be Monday, June 18th from 9:00 to 10:30 am at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 10:30 am for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at Our Lady of Victory Church at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in King’s Highway Cemetery, Milford.
